Petit moi à "Paree"....(Little Me in "Paree")

I had the beautiful chance to go to Europe (for the first time, by the way) with my boyfriend, Matt. If I never introduced you to Matt, then consider this your introduction. We visited London, England first and then Paris, France. Since this was an eleven day trip, I'm going to split it up by country and days. Also, since I'm obsessed with Paris, I'm going to write about it first! Mind you, I wrote half of this on my flight back home and the other half (plus this intro) in my favorite little French cafe in NYC (Editors note: I have half the mind to tell them how to make a proper Croque Monsieur).

Ahh Paris, the beautiful city of lights and luxury designer goods. I’ve been dreaming of going ever since I was young and did a school project on the culture. I’ve got to say, that I was expecting to love it ... BUT I wasn’t expecting to be IN love with it. They say you never forget your first trip to Paris; I absolutely agree. Here are my first three days in the city of lights:

Day 1-

Our first day, we did some of the usual sight seeing like the Arc De Triumph and the The Louvre. Since my boyfriend loves to to visit tall buildings, which sometimes requires climbing many flights of stairs, I chose a cute, casual outfit with some Parisian details. I decided to wear, my staple a black turtleneck, a white graphic T-shirt that read “Paris”, dark denim, a camel sherpa lined faux suede, oversized moto jacket, classic Adidas Super Stars, a color block scarf, and my Louis Vuitton Eva as a belt bag of course, in PERFECT Parisian style, a red beret.

Day 2-

The next day, I had to recoup. So, we slept in a bit later but still had a fabulous day. We went to Champs Elysse Street . There, we walked up and down the street window-shopping at all the designer stores and oogling the rare, exclusive cars parked about. I made sure we went into Ladurée, as it always had been a dream of mine to go there (yes, I know there’s one in NYC but, hello we were in France, so we might as well go to the biggest one ever in Paris, right??) Since our day was pretty casual, I wore my faux leather leggings, a black cropped sweatshirt, Matt’s denim jacket (thanks Babe!), a black faux fur, black cabbie/fisherman hat, and (to add to the monochromatic tone ) and black faux suede OTK boots! We later went to another tall building in Mont Parness (I told you, this guy loves buildings!!) We went to the tippy top to see the extraordinary view.

Day 3-

I think my favorite day would be our anniversary. It’s been 10 months since we’ve been dating , and one year since we’ve known each other. To celebrate, Matt made reservations at the only restaurant INSIDE the Eiffel Tower. I wore a black turtleneck knitted dress with diamond detailing, black tights, black OTK boots, my faux fur jacket, scarf, a bone-colored cross body (Matt gifted me for Christmas), and topped-off the outfit with a black beret. After our lovely lunch, we went on our merry little way to visit various historic Parisian monuments. Another highlight of the day, was our visit to The Pont des Arts, more commonly known as the “Lock Bridge”. Okay so, if anyone personally knows me, they know the movie, LOL, makes my heart smile the most. So, going to this bridge and seeing all these locks made me the happiest girl in the world. Going to this romantic bridge ON our anniversary and putting a lock on it with my love really just sent me over the moon! I didn’t think I could get any happier (yeah my boyfriends the best, I know). We then went on to visit the amazing historic Notre Dame Cathedral. The evening was framed with glorious views on a dinner cruise which sailed up and down the Seine River to set the night for more romance (yeah, I wanted to cry to). I decided to wear a black turtleneck, a metallic champagne pleated mini, paired it with my black tights and boots. After we returned to our hotel, I was surprised to see my of bed full of rose petals and champagne to toast our special day. Magnifiquè!

With love,

Calista

Keep up with me!
